Dubai losing out to India in BPO sector

Dubai's attempts to attract Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) trade in the region in direct competition to India are proving futile. For some time now, officials of the Dubai Outsourcing Zone (DOZ) have been targeting major corporates to redirect their call centers to the DOZ, but only a few have responded. Higher costs of setting up centers, along with lack of educational reforms and reliance on migrant workers are factors that are acting as deterrents.
